Who we are

Built by people who deal with this directly

EvoRep started because one of our co-founders spends his working life inside CBAM and other relevant EU compliance schemes like OSS (One Stop Shop), and kept running into the same gap: no tool built for the operational reality of actually doing this, just spreadsheets and guesswork under deadline. We built the tool we wished existed.

Why we exist

We didn't start from a market report

Matt, one of our three co-founders, is an accountant. CBAM declarations, OSS filings, and the operational grind of EU compliance schemes are part of his day-to-day work, not something he read about. Steve, another co-founder, was working in B2B SaaS marketing and had direct access to product and engineering input from colleagues who’d built compliance and workflow tools before. Between the two of them, and our third co-founder Ioannis, the problem and the means to build something for it were sitting in the same room.

All three of us studied Economics and Business as undergraduates, at separate universities in Greece. That coursework included classes in EU law and database systems, both of which turned out to matter more than we expected once we started building this. We later completed a Master’s in Marketing together.

We prototyped an early version and showed it to the sustainability team at a large Greek manufacturer, who confirmed the gap was real and gave us concrete, specific feedback on what a working tool would actually need to do. That conversation is what turned a prototype into a company.

We started building in September 2025, while the CBAM transitional reporting period was still in effect. Progress was genuinely slower than we’d have liked for a few months (we were finishing our Master’s degrees at the same time), and we formally incorporated in January 2026, once we were ready to commit to this full-time.

How we build it

Real logic, not a wrapper around a chatbot

We use Google Cloud infrastructure, built on Google Cloud, which holds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certification, with tenant isolation enforced through row-level security, role-based access control, and no exposed APIs.

The parts of EvoRep that matter most (the calculations, the rule evaluation, what counts as missing evidence) run on deterministic logic we built by reading the regulation directly, not on a language model guessing. Where we do use AI (Google’s Vertex AI), it’s scoped narrowly: parsing and structuring values out of documents, not deciding what those values mean or producing the compliance output itself. That distinction is deliberate. A compliance tool that lets a language model improvise the actual logic is exactly the kind of tool this industry doesn’t need more of.

The team

Three co-founders

Matt Paraskevas

Co-founder

Bachelor’s in Economics and Business

An accountant who works directly with CBAM and adjacent EU compliance obligations, and brought the operational problem this company exists to solve.

Christos-Ioannis Papaspyrou

Co-founder

Bachelor’s in Economics and Business

An entrepreneur who has founded and run his own companies before this one, with hands-on experience building web products.

Steve Abatzis

Co-founder

Bachelor’s in Economics and Business

Backround in B2B SaaS Marketing, automations, SQL architecture and motion design.

Three of us, full-time. We’re a small team by design right now, not by plan. We intend to grow into a dedicated team as the product and customer base grow, not stay this size indefinitely.

advisors

Who we check our work with

Konstantinos Stamos

Technical Advisor

PhD in Computer Science, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

A software and machine-learning engineer with twenty years across research and industry, including at CERN, where he built software for monitoring and testing the Large Hadron Collider. Advises EvoRep on architecture and data engineering.

Compliance software has to hold up technically as well as operationally. We work with an advisor who reviews how EvoRep is built, so the architecture gets the same scrutiny as the regulation.

Where we’re based

We operate our day-to-day business from Greece and are legally registered as EvoRep LLC in New Mexico, USA.

The same discipline that runs through this page runs through the product. We don’t claim more than we can back up there either. See where CBAM and EUDR compliance actually stand today.
